Towns and villages everywhere have lined up special activities for Canada Day.
This year the Town of Wadena is encouraging artists to submit to their colouring contest and the ambitious to decorate their yard for the occasion.
Colouring sheets are available on their website http://www.townofwadena.com
Drop off your final masterpiece in the mailbox located at the front of the town office.
Also sign up for the yard decorating contest with our Community Recreation Coordinator, Karlee Leach at 639-947-7335.
There are some mighty fine prizes up for grabs plus the prestige of winning.
Both of these contests could prove to be a very competitive annual event.
We look forward to the results, so get to it! And don’t forget to shop locally for supplies,
local businesses need you to support them because they also always give back.
It’s a parade!
There are two parades of which the Wadena News is aware in our readership district on July 1.
The first one is in Wadena, starting at 10 a.m. at the R.M. of Lakeview parking lot.
The second is at 2 p.m. in Invermay, starting at the Invermay Hall at 1:30 p.m.
Call Tammy at the Invermay village office to sign up, 306.593.2242.
On Friday, Wash & Wear on Main Street in Wadena is reopening!
Hours that day will be 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
There are some restrictions in place, however, it’s great to have them back!
They are looking forward to opening three days a week after this week, Wednesday through Friday, also 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Be sure to continue to practice physical distancing at all times.
