We’ve been busy!
We had a wonderful day on June 4 when we had Don and Pat Dosworth celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary and also a visit from Leigh and Kirby Anderson on their wedding day. To add a little more excitement, Lila Mychan brought in ducklings and chicks for the residents to see and hold.
We loved having the Grade 12 graduates and their escorts come to show residents their beautiful dresses and handsome suits.
Terry and Doug from Neilson Trucking brought us six huge rocks to make some of our areas look a little nicer where we had to remove some shrubs. With donations we were also able to purchase some new ornaments and furniture for outside, so it’s looking good.
With the help of family, volunteers and activity and maintenance staff, we got the patio cleaned up and planted flowers. We have enjoyed some beautiful days outside.
Our outings so far have included trips around town, soft ice cream, the lake, supper downtown, Quill Plains for coffee and goodies, and out to tour our beautiful cemetery.
A group of high school kids came and spent some time with the residents, bowling and going for walks.
July started off with a party for Canada Day, complete with cake and kids.

We are back to having our fried egg or pancake breakfasts once a month. Residents really enjoy the change and we thank everyone who helps us make it happen.
