Greenwater RCMP has laid charges against three individuals who were responsible for a series of break and enters, weapons trafficking, and theft in Wadena, Archerwill, and Kelvington. Over the course of three days from Sept. 26 to 29, eight vehicles plus ten homes and garages were broken into. Stolen were two vehicles, three long-barrelled firearms, one compound bow and arrows plus over 1000 rounds of ammunition.
Both stolen vehicles, the compound bow and arrows, two firearms, which had been sawed off, and the 1000 rounds of ammunition have been recovered. The third stolen firearm is yet to be located.
Charged are Blaze Ahpay and two male youths from the Rose Valley area face a combined total of 43 offences. One youth was remanded and will remain in custody. The other youth was remanded and released by Provincial Court in Rose Valley.
The investigation is still ongoing with police continuing to search for two additional suspects
Greenwater RCMP would like to thank members of the public for reporting these crimes to police. This investigation began as a result of a phone call made to police about a stolen vehicle.
