Wadena Peewees Pull Off Hat Trick

Wadena welcomed the Saskatoon Bruisers, Saskatoon Blues and Shellbrook for the inaugural Boys Softball League games at the Wadena Sports Grounds on May 15. Ahead was a full day of softball, with the (under 14) peewee boys’  first game commencing at 10 a.m. when the Wadena Peewees faced the Saskatoon Bruisers, winning 15-5.

The Saskatoon Blues were next to step up to the plate and again the newly formed Wadena team showed its colours by winning the second game 15-4.

The Wadena peewees’ last game of the day was against Shellbrook and it was another win, beating Shellbrook 11-5.

The Wadena team will be playing at Shellbrook on June 4 and will be in Saskatoon for the league tournaments.
