Rose Valley Skaters Strut Their Stuff

Going strong since 1958, the Rose Valley Skating Club held its annual carnival March 5, preceded by a steak night that gave everyone an early taste of the oncoming barbecue season.

A large audience cheered on 20 skaters of various ages who took to the ice to show off what they learned this winter. The theme was “Hootenanny on Ice” and it lived up to its name, not just with costumes and music but with big smiles and energy from the skaters.

Program assistants were Danielle Hunt and Autumn Lawson, and the skaters were coached by Blair Braaten. The evening event raised some $3000 for the club of enthusiastic skaters. Well done!
