Jail ‘n’ Bail for Telemiracle

Many otherwise upstanding citizens goodnaturedly permitted themselves to be led away in handcuffs for the greater good, which was to raise money for Telemiracle 40. The RCMP played along, ruthlessly arresting the targeted “criminals,” who then had “one phone call” in order to contact their friends and business associates to bail them out. Fortunately the RCMP were flexible enough to allow their prisoners more than one call apiece, and a nice chunk of cash was collected during one of what has become one of Wadena’s most popular fundraisers.

There were lots of laughs on full bellies provided by E & K Trophies of Wadena, who sponsored and served up a delicious pancake breakfast. Kudos to our local RCMP officers as well for their help; it wouldn’t be half as much fun without them!
