The Kelvington Community Grow Project is requesting the support of the community for the 2016 growing season.
The project was formed to support community recreational facilities.
Participating facilities are the Kelvington recreational arena, curling club, swimming pool and bowling alley. Maintaining these facilities can be costly and the goal of the project is to create income in order to maintain their quality. We aim to lessen the financial weight placed on local businesses and community members who so frequently make donations.
The Kelvington Community Grow Project board was formed by members from the boards of the aforementioned facilities as well as the Agricultural Society and the public.
We will be seeding a quarter-section of land this spring. We are asking for support in the form of volunteering time and equipment for spring tillage, harrowing, preburn, seeding, spraying, swathing, combining, trucks to transport grain, fall burnoff, and heavy harrow.
Contact details are listed on signup sheets that is posted at the RM of Kelvington office.
