Three charged after break-in at Greenwater

On Dec. 21, the Rose Valley/Kelvington RCMP located a van stuck in the ditch near Greenwater Provincial Park.

There were two females and one male occupant, intoxicated, with open alcohol in the vehicle. The occupants were arrested. The van was searched and officers located a large amount of beverage alcohol, clothing with price tags, several packages of unopened and opened cigarettes of various brands, and other miscellaneous items totalling approximately $3000.

The male and one of the females were also wanted by Calgary and Saskatoon police on other theft investigations.

Officers attended a business in the provincial park and discovered that extensive damage had been done to the building.

All three were in court at Yorkton on Dec. 23 on charges of break, enter and theft; possession of stolen property; and mischief to property over $5000. They are scheduled back in court at Rose Valley on Jan. 7.
