On June 22, five-year-old Jayden Johnson of Margo and about 35 family members and friends took part in Walk Now for Autism Speaks Canada. The event, held in Saskatoon, raises funds for autism research and public awareness. In total, Saskatoon raised about $68,000 and Team Jayden contributed just over $8,500.

Jayden was diagnosed with autism at age three (Wadena News, April 22, Autism in children a challenge for families) and will attend kindergarten at Wadena Elementary School this fall.
